Visual arts

Be an artist, designer, or storyteller.

From painting to video production, students learn the techniques of visual communication and develop a unique creative voice — traditional mediums, industry-standard software, and professional equipment. Working artists in the room. One year of visual or performing arts is required to graduate.

CATS Café is the open-mic. Recent productions include 10 Ways To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse, The Little Mermaid, Arsenic & Old Lace, Into The Woods, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical, and The Wizard of Oz.

The Wizard of Oz

Directed and choreographed by theater teacher Annabel Wall. Defne took on Dorothy in her first musical — cast on talent, potential and work ethic, not prior experience alone. Live theater builds confidence, communication, discipline and resilience.

Maggie — Best of Show for fashion design. Flora, recently accepted to RISD, earned third place for her mixed-media piece Reverie. Junior Alex received an Honorable Mention. A gallery-style setting that mirrors university critique.
